Meet Elizabeth Alfaro Alvear

Elizabeth Alfaro Alvear is a Chilean clinical psychologist with over 15 years of experience supporting individuals through stress, trauma, anxiety, and the pressures of navigating work and life across cultures.

An international career, by design
Elizabeth trained and practised as a clinical psychologist in Chile and Singapore before her work expanded internationally. She has since studied in Denmark and Singapore and led coaching and wellbeing workshops across Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines.
In 2026 she completed a Global Studies programme at IPC in Helsingør, Denmark, focused on intercultural communication in international communities. She has built her clinical practice across cultures and continents, and that experience shapes everything about how Renew State is designed.

The approach
Elizabeth’s clinical approach brings together her clinical psychology training and body-centred methods. She works with the understanding that stress is not only a mental experience: it lives in the body, in the nervous system, and in the patterns we develop over time to manage environments that feel unsafe or overwhelming.

Through EMDR, somatic regulation, Polyvagal-informed techniques, and mindfulness-based approaches, she helps employees move from a chronic high-alert state to one where they can think clearly, engage fully, and build genuine resilience.
Sessions are delivered in English and Spanish.
Renew State is currently a founder-led practice. As the programme grows, Elizabeth will bring additional qualified practitioners onto the team, maintaining the same clinical standards.
